Where the night is shallow,
And where sleeping is a chore,
I’ve found myself searching,
Just searching for more.
I plow my body forward,
As my mind races mad,
Probing through the cosmos,
For something once I had.
Perchance, I wish for the stars,
For the twinkle I did adore.
So easily I’ve forgotten,
It’s through them that I wished--
Once upon before.
